After twenty-five years, McQueen returns to London. For Spring Summer 2027, Seán McGirr chooses the Undercroft of Lincoln’s Inn Chapel, a Gothic, suspended space perfectly suited to a collection built on contrast.
British tailoring meets the London night. Sharp-shouldered suits, leather, mesh, corsetry and metallic details transform the rigor of Savile Row into something more instinctive and unsettling.
McGirr looks to Piero della Francesca and The Baptism of Christ, but also to the energy of Keith Flint and The Prodigy. The Renaissance meets rave culture, purity meets excess, the angel meets the club kid.
This is a McQueen that does not seek to replicate the past, but to capture its spirit. Beauty is charged with tension, with something imperfect and unexpected.
London once again becomes the starting point. Not to celebrate nostalgia, but to imagine what comes next.
