It all begins with an ancient Egyptian legend: from the tears of the god Ra, bees are born — sacred little creatures, symbols of eternity. This image transforms into fabric, detail, structure. Myth takes shape, settling on the garments like ancient dust. It’s not just fashion — it’s a story to be worn.
The silhouettes are crafted with rare tactile expertise. Brushed velvets, treated wools, and worn-looking denim alternate with flashes of sequins, rubberized effects, architectural pleats, and fringes that break vertical lines. The fantastic creatures created in collaboration with artist Maria Jeon inhabit the collection like hidden symbols, embroidered on jackets, coats, and bags like omens.
The color palette is intense, yet never excessive: burnt, earthy, volcanic tones — magma and dust. A mineral spirituality runs through each piece. Etro’s fluid elegance is enriched with a new physicality, almost ritualistic, in the act of dressing.
It’s not just about wearing a garment, but about carrying a vision. Each piece is a fragment of a story, an invitation to walk through the collective memory of myth. Fashion becomes a form of knowledge once again.
