Haider Ackermann: Nuovo direttore creativo di Tom Ford

Haider Ackermann: Tom Ford's New Creative Director

Haider Ackermann is back on the catwalk. The French designer born in Bogota, Colombia, will take over the creative direction of Tom Ford and will present his first collection during Paris Fashion Week in March, when the women's proposals for Fall-Winter 2025/26 will be revealed. In his new role, Ackermann will take creative leadership across all categories of Tom Ford fashion, from menswear to womenswear, accessories and eyewear, and will guide the creative vision of the entire brand.

The label founded by the Texan designer of the same name, who in November 2022 sold his company to the Estée Lauder group with the fashion activities licensed to the Zegna group and the eyewear activities licensed to Marcolin, has thus found a successor after the exit last July of Peter Hawkings, who had worked for years in the style office alongside Tom Ford himself and had been chosen to succeed him in April 2023. The last collection bearing his signature was the spring-summer 2025, presented in Milan last June.

“I have long been a huge fan of Haider’s work. I find both his womenswear and his menswear equally fascinating,” Tom Ford said of Ackermann’s appointment. “He is an incredible colorist, his tailoring is sharp and most of all, it is modern. We share many of the same historical references and I couldn’t be more excited to see what he does with the brand. I suspect I will be the first to applaud on my feet after his show in March.” Ackermann said: “It is with enormous pride that I will seek to honor the legacy of Tom Ford, a man I have long admired and for whom I have the utmost respect. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead.”

The French designer succeeds Peter Hawkings at the helm of the brand founded by Tom Ford in 2005. His first collection for the maison will be unveiled in March 2025, during Paris Fashion Week
