So what awaits us in Milan? 56 physical fashion shows (two of which are double), 5 digital, 67 presentations plus another seven by appointment, and 26 events, for a total of 161 appointments including historic names of Made in Italy, new entries and official returns. Marni returns to celebrate its thirty years of honored career in the Lombardy capital, after the Grand tour which saw it parade from New York, to Paris, to Tokyo and Elisabetta Franchi also returns to the calendar. The London-based Ethiopian designer Feben makes her debut as part of the Dolce&Gabbana project to support emerging talents, and Sagaboi, a men's brand founded in 2015 by Geoff K. Coope.

The dates to mark on the agenda are therefore those ranging from 20 to 26 February, as announced in the press conference called by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion which - in the words of its president Carlo Capasa - says it is optimistic in terms of presence in the city, with the estimated arrival of over one hundred thousand visitors, of which more than half were foreigners, thus far exceeding the pre-Covid data. And the calendar promises to be packed, so much so as to give rise to the now usual controversy, with Capasa reiterating that he has already requested Tuesday as an additional day to the Fashion Weeks (New York and Paris) which, opening and closing the long fashion month, they have more choices. Finally, the Including Diversity conference is also among the scheduled events which, as can be imagined, will deal with diversity, and will be organized by the National Anti-Racial Discrimination Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and African Fashion Gate, the presentation of the Masters of Excellence Award, launched by Lvmh, Loro Piana and Confartigianto, dedicated to artisans most talented in Italy and the Black Carpet Awards, the theme song of Fashion Week to reward designers, creators, artists and talents who celebrate inclusiveness within their work.
