As the Sanremo Festival comes to an end, the fashion month reopens: the first stop, as usual, is New York which on 9 February will see the second collection by Peter Do for Helmut Lang in its inauguration event, to then move on to Ulla Johnson 's show and conclude on February 14th with Thom Browne . Free of historic brands rooted in centuries-old traditions, the American one has for years been criticized as the least interesting of the fashion weeks. We disagree: with its fast and frenetic pace, the contamination of ideas, people, cultures and backgrounds, the Big Apple is consolidating itself more and more every year as a high-level incubator for emerging brands, a fertile ground for experimentation and novelty - from a perspective which, unlike the visionary one of London, aims at the perfect intersection between artistic creation and commercial potential. Also for the Autumn Winter 2024-2025 season, with over seventy brands on the list, the NYFW calendar is enriched with new talents from all over the world, emerging, niche, full of things to say.
